Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg, Can Man Utd Take Out Barca?

Sorry guys, i have been away for a while because of my sister's wedding. Around here, our marriage rites are a bit more complicated than what you Europeans are used to. You just walk down the aisle, and that is it.
Before a man can take home his wife, he will have to go the brides village and meet her kinsmen to perform the traditional marriage rites, and thereafter also perform the white wedding in church like you guys. My sister just got married and that is why i have been away to help out with one or two things.
Okay, so while i was away, i learnt that we got beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Rooney and Vidic both got injured in that match, and that is a worry.
Anyways, tomorrow is a big day as FC Barcelona come visiting for the second leg of the champions league semi - final with the match at 0-0.
Its always a scary moment when a big team Barcelona visit you at home because they have got the players to wreck harvoc on any team. They played very well in the 1st leg at the Nou Camp, but the you would expect them to play at home, but we are ready for them. Its gonna be a tough match. Its a bit scary because with the scoreline at 0-0, any team that can score and hold on will definitely take that day and claim the final ticket, i hope that will be us folks.
Meanwhile, it is soothing to hear that Christiano Ronaldo has been voted player of the year. Let's take that home guys, i will be with you tomorrow before and after the match.

BARCELONA V MAN UTD CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL FIRST LEG

I don't think i have the stomach for what we are about to witness this evening at the Nou Camp. Barcelona lay siege and we should expect anything and everything from them. The likes of Lionel Messi, who for me is the single biggest threat in tonight's encounter, will make life very difficult for Ferdinand and Co. in the Man Utd defense.
Yesterday we saw Liverpool score 2 goals to literally give Chelsea the advantage going into the second leg of that tie. Or how would you describe a situation where Kuyt scored a goal, and Riise canceled it out for Chelsea. An own goal is always very painful, and i know how Riise must be feeling by this morning. I still feel that Liverpool can, and will still win through to the final.
Back to what we have at hand, Barcelona V Man Utd at the Camp Nou.
I hope Christiano Ronaldo can deliver, and that Rooney can keep his cool today and convert at least 1 of the chances that will beg at him. He missed so many scoring chances at Blacburn last weekend.
Guys, my heart is panting. But i know that if we keep our cool, we might even win this match today. Happy watching.

LIVERPOOL V CHELSEA ,CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL FIRST LEG.Who draws 1st blood?

If i knew today was a match day, then may thunder strike me dead. This is ho we swear in my place, nothing bad really. How about that for a wish for oneself. I really did not know that the 1st leg of the champions league semi-final was already upon us. What this means is that i have not prepared for today, but i guess i could be pardoned.
My club, Manchester United is not playing until tomorrow. But the thing with me is that i love watching real good football such as the one played by Liverpool in the champions league.
Okay, so i now suddenly realize that the last 4 of the world's leading club competition starts today, and that Liverpool will for the 4th season in a row try to outdo Chelsea at this stage of the champions league. Can they do it?
I am neither a fan of the 2 clubs, but if you ask me, i think Liverpool will take the day again.Lets look at it this way.
The same group of players that played for Chelsea will probably still play for them this time around, albeit they might be more motivated to not allow the same team triumph over them for the 4th time in a row.
Liverpool on the other hand still basically the same group of players, but with the addition of arguably the deadliest, fastest striker in Europe besides Christiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres.
Torres is a nightmare for any defender on his good day, and he doesn't have many off-days. He is a real poacher.
Didier Drogba has not really been the man we knew him to be. He hasn't scored much goals this season either in the premier league or in the champions league this season. The mid-field is going to be stuffy, both teams have a compact mid-field, and it will take sheer pace and accuracy for this match to be won.
On the whole, i think that Liverpool packs just the right punch to win this match on both legs. But like they say, the journey of a million miles starts with a step. First leg out of the way first, and we will have the right pointers.

Amodu Again For Super Eagles, Bad Move

That the Nigeria Football Association have appointed Shuaibu Amodu as the new Super Eagles coach is no news, but what baffles me much as every soccer loving Nigerian is the wisdom in making him head coach. He has been the Super Eagles coach before, and actually did not do so bad.
My problem with his 3rd coming is whether he has updated himself to the standard that will help his success. Don't forget that this is perhaps the hottest seat in national team coaching.
May i ask NFA what happened to the much publicized choice of Keshi, Siasia and Oliseh? I did not want Oliseh, but what about Keshi and Siasia who recently got shortlisted as a possible replacement manager at the Reebok as Bolton Wanderers coach.
It is glaring what the NFA has just done, pick somebody who just going to be a pun for the big boys at the glass house. Every Nigerian knows that the national team does not need a chicken hearted person as our coach. We need somebody who will challenge the NFA and stand his ground on any decision he has to take.
This is a recipe for DISASTER.

Man Utd V Arsenal, Title Decider?

As i write this post, i am still under the influence of our qualification for the semi-final of the champions league at the expense of harpless AS Roma, and the elimination of Arsenal by the Reds.
Don't get me wrong, i don't hate Arsenal, i just don't like the way Arsenal fans around where i live behave. As if they own the whole of football, as if they play more than everybody else, the arrogance exhibited by their coach Arsene Wenger. Well, so much for one team.
But this one team needs one more smacking. Arsenal come to the theater of dreams Old Trafford on sunday for a real stinger. As usual, their fans are talking tough, they always do, only to lose in the end.
Though they hardly score goals these days, Arsenal play good football. But good football without goals don't get you anywhere, and we will score and win them. A friend of mine who is an Arsenal fan say all they want to happen is to take Christiano Ronaldo out for the rest of the season. That is not going to happen cos our man is sleeker than they think. Ronaldo will score again and of course we all know that he will win the golden boot at the end of the season, there should be some more awards for outstanding players, so rare breeds like C. Ronaldo can get even more awards at the end of the season. So long guys, till next time.
Oh! i will like you guys to readwhat Sir Alex had to say about Arsenal and their pathetic season on the BBC website. Just go to http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/7343107.stm, and you will read it in full.

Liverpool V Arsenal Champions League Quarter Final Second Leg, Wenger Dreams On

I wish someone could tell Arsene Wenger that the dreams and dreaming should end. The time for dreams have long passed.
In the premier league, i don't see Manchester United giving up their lead, despite last sunday's stuttering against Middlesbrough. And Chelsea for Pete's sake is not letting up the chase on the leaders. The truth is simple, both Man Utd and Chelsea score a lot of goals, something Arsenal can't quite manage. Can Wenger tell how he plans to win both the champions league and the premier league without scoring?
He references beating AC Milan at the San Siro, but let's face fact, the Milan giants have not been in their best form lately.
In the champions league, well it's gonna be tight, but Liverpool play the champions league like no other competition, and i tell you, Arsenal will be beaten at Anfield.
Hear him, "I still believe we can finish as champions in the league but we need to win at United on Sunday. "I also believe we can win the Champions League. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think that."
If you ask me, i will tell you this is a very tall order for a team who have won only 2 of it's last 11 games

Bad Day At The Office For Man Utd

For me, two things are always bound to happen when we play. Christiano Ronaldo will score and we will win. In my last post, i did say that C. Ronaldo will score, and he did not let us down. The guys is at the top of form right now.
We did not win the match, cos Middlesbrough decided to give us a hell of a time at the Riverside, what a way to welcome your visitors. They played us as if they were playing a cup final that will qualify them to Europe.
Anyway, it was a real football feast as they contested every ball and almost outplayed us.But thanks to Park that came on and sort of ignited the whole team,he pulled in for Rooney to score the equalizer, what a game.
In the end though, we are still ahead, but only 3 points from Chelsea, with Arsenal coming a further 3 points back.
So, the road is now set for Old Trafford next saturday when we welcome the gunners. We will beat them. But first,we will settle the small matter that is AS Roma on wednesday and fully qualify for the champions league semi-final. That is what we will look at tomorrow.

Shopping Cart Software

If you buy online a lot of the time, you will most definitely have come across a shopping cart.A shopping cart is Software program that collects and stores shopping information in a website session, including items, quantities, taxes and shipping. Also collects payment billing information from the customer.
Shopping cart software typically interfaces with third-party secure payment gateway software that resides on a different server for secure payment transactions.Navigation through the whole product database is easy with use of a shopping cartsoftware. When setting up an ecommerce website, Ashop Commerce is the name to think of first as the service they offer is first class. They are the leading provider of hosted shopping cart in the US, and the service is reasonably priced.

Kanu, Alive And Scoring As Pompey Reach FA Cup Final

A second-half goal from Kanu was enough to send Portsmouth through to their first FA Cup final in 69 years.

Ex-West Brom striker Kanu side-footed an easy chance to see off the Baggies after Dean Kiely had denied Milan Baros and Zoltan Gera had failed to clear.

Baros, who looked to have handled in the build-up to the goal, missed a simple chance to seal the win.

They were almost made to pay but Robert Koren's shot hit the bar and Ishmael Miller fired wide late on.

Portsmouth will face the winners of the all-Championship tie between Barnsley and Cardiff on Sunday in the final.

Their win carries on the top flight's run of having a team in every FA Cup final.

Pompey were already odds-on favourites to lift the trophy before the game, but for long periods it was West Brom who looked the better bet for a return to Wembley on 17 May.

Harry Redknapp's south coast side were not at the races during a lacklustre first-half display and it Albion who looked like the Premier League thoroughbreds.

But in the end, Kanu's goal was enough to see Pompey into the FA Cup final for the first time in 69 years.

Arsenal V Liverpool, Gunners Survive A Scare

So for the second time in about a week, Arsenal hosted Liverpool at the Emirates stadium, and for the second time, the 2 teams part with a 1 all draw.
In my opinion i think Arsenal were rather lucky and fortunate that Voronin came in and sort of made a mess of himself, failing to convert 2 golden chances to finish up the gunners at their own backyard.
The Gunners made a lethargic start and fell behind to Peter Crouch's powerful finish into the bottom corner, and Liverpool finished the 1st half 1 up. Though Arsenal made a real game of it from the start of the second half, Liverpool had the better chances to win the game.
In the end though, it was their ghost from the champions league draw, Nicklas Bendtner who scored to put the game at 1 goal apiece. I think we have a big match in our hands come next wednesday in the second leg of the champions league quarter final.

Middlesbrough v Man Utd, Time To Consolidate

I tell you why i love saturdays, we Man. Utd play mostly on saturdays and so i spend my time counting every tick of the clock in anticipation of our match. Needless to say, my saturdays are usually very cool because we win our matches straight out.
After taking out AS Roma in the champions league, we play Middlesbrough 'away', well it doesn't matter if we play away or not.
I think that at this time of the season, we are really poised to take every team in the premier league to the cleaner.
I didn't really feel like writing anything today, but hey, just a scribble. The red Devil triumph again.
Oh! guys did you know that Christiano will score today again? he sure will.

Arsenal V Liverpool, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER-FINAL FIRST LEG,A Real Cracker

I don't mean to be rude, but i think that Arsenal are gonna get their sorry asses beaten by Liverpool over both legs of the tie. Now get me wrong, Arsenal play good passing football, but without scoring goals.
In the premiership, i would have given the tie to Arsenal, but this is the champions league and Liverpool don't mess around in the champions league. They did very well when they beat AC Milan, but Liverpool beat the other Italian giant Inter . But between both teams, i will readily pick Liverpool over Arsenal in the champions league. Liverpool play the champions league like it is the only thing out there for them, and they are very in-form right now with Fernando Tores firing on all cylinders. As for Arsenal fans, this tie will teach them to appreciate other teams. I like good football, and that is what Liverpool will give you guys over 2 legs

Tuesday's Champions League Photos

Let these pictures rock you to sleep tonight. Viva Man U

The Goal Machine Scores Yet Again

By now everybody should know that we Man Utd beat Roma 2-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome to take a commanding lead into the second leg of the tie, and thus a leg already into the semi-final.
The scoreline did not actually surprise me, Man Utd is in that kind of form right now, although Roma is also playing excellent football in the Italian league too.
What also did not surprise me is the fact that Christiano Ronaldo scored again. I think the opening goal he scored was his 36th goal of the season in all competitions this season. This guy is just incredible, and i won't bet against him scoring 40+ goals this season. Poor Roma, they get roasted yet again by Man Utd.
Just a word for the other game between Schalke and Barcelona, well Barca won by a lone goal scored by Borjan. This despite their poor LaLiga form this of late.
Tomorrow will be hectic, with Arsenal hosting Liverpool and Chelsea travelling to Fenebache, it promises to be explosive. Well, that's for them. We have done our bit and are virtually through, Bravo Red Devils
